2) Requirements for Each Type of Draw

Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

Who it is for:
People already working in Canada

Basic requirements:

  • At least 1 year of skilled work experience in Canada
  • Valid language test (IELTS/CELPIP)
  • Work experience must be in TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 jobs

April trend:

  • CRS around 508–515 (very competitive)

👉 Summary: Strong option if you are already in Canada, but scores are high.

French-Language Draws

Who it is for:
Candidates with strong French ability

Basic requirements:

  • French test (TEF/TCF) with CLB 7 or higher in all skills
  • No need for Canadian work experience
  • Can apply from inside or outside Canada

April trend:

  • CRS around 400–419 (much lower than other draws)

👉 Summary: One of the easiest pathways right now if you speak French.

🏅 Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

Who it is for:
Candidates nominated by a Canadian province

Basic requirements:

  • Receive a provincial nomination
  • Meet the criteria of that province (job offer, experience, or connection)

April trend:

  • CRS around 786–795 (includes +600 points from nomination)

👉 Summary: Hard to get, but once nominated, almost guaranteed invitation.

🔧 Trades Draws

Who it is for:
Workers in skilled trades (construction, electrical, etc.)

Basic requirements:

  • Work experience in eligible trade occupations
  • Language test
  • Often requires certification or job experience

April trend:

  • CRS around 470s

👉 Summary: Good option for trade workers, but still competitive.
